2021
Key Themes in 2021
The year focused on post-COVID-19 recovery, resilience-building for Small Island Developing States (SIDS), CARICOM coordination, climate action, sustainable development goals (SDGs), and strengthening bilateral/multilateral partnerships (including with Cuba and the UN system). Many engagements were virtual due to pandemic restrictions. Domestic duties as MP and ABLP Chairman continued in parallel, while the ABNOC constitutional review introduced a three-term limit for its leadership.
